3 INCHES OF BLOOD Announces Summer 'Off-Fest' Dates With LAMB OF GOD
May 17, 2007Vancouver, B.C.-based heavy metal warriors 3 INCHES OF BLOOD have announced a slew of "Off-Fest" live dates centered around their participation as part of Ozzfest 2007. 3 INCHES OF BLOOD will join forces with LAMB OF GOD, HATEBREED and BEHEMOTH for upwards of twenty "Off-Fest" live dates that promise to be massive in scope.
3 INCHES OF BLOOD's hotly anticipated new album entitled "Fire Up the Blades" will drop on June 26, 2007 via Roadrunner Records. The follow-up to the band's 2004 release "Advance and Vanquish", "Fire Up the Blades" is already being called "a thrash-fest" that features "a raging JUDAS PRIEST-meets-SLAYER attack".
On the topic of both Ozzfest and the band's "Off-Fest" live dates, 3 INCHES OF BLOOD guitarist Shane Clark comments, "We're really excited to play with LAMB OF GOD, HATEBREED and BEHEMOTH this summer, and the idea of new faces seeing the band for free at Ozzfest is interesting for sure. We're also excited for the new record to come out, and to play our brand of metal alongside some great bands this summer. Posers beware!"
3 INCHES OF BLOOD recorded "Fire Up the Blades" at Vancouver's legendary Armoury Studios (AC/DC, KISS) and Mushroom Studios (QUEENSRŸCHE) with producer Joey Jordison (SLIPKNOT) and engineer Dan Turner. Darker, tighter and more dangerous than the band's previous works, "Fire Up the Blades" features songs such as "Night Marauders", "The Goatrider's Horde", "Assassins of the Light" and "Black Spire" and is full of vivid imagery, masterful guitar acrobatics and the skyscraping vocals of Cam Pipes and Jamie Hooper that 3 INCHES OF BLOOD is known for.
